29 Aug 2008, I went to a memorandum signing ceremony between CESB and Epict Anim@ter. I went there to shoot it all on tape. To summarize the event, it’s just a signing ceremony since all ‘Press’ who promised to come could’nt make it(The new budget yadda yadda). Here’s some photos. Of me!!! ahahha
There are times when you are on the internet, and suddenly this uber great subbed manga is released. You get excited to a point where your saliva starts to drip. And then suddenly you noticed that it is on torrent!!! Ok no big deal, i just need to do this and that… wait a minute!! OMG!! Im in a cyber cafe in [INSERT SOME SUPER REMOTE PLACE HERE].

Kasturi is going to be published in Gila-Gila!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Oh my god! Oh my god!
As some of you might know, I’m writing a story which was planned for Fantasi a while back. Well today it seems that the Fantasi mag will take some time to be reborn. So what do I do? I told my dad, Jaafar Taib and Ramzahurin (a Gila-Gila artist) about it. And whaddaya know! They fell in love with it! After some minor adjustment Jaafar Taib said that it is actually suitable for Gila-Gila and even animation(!!!!!!!!!!!). In this project, I will be the writer of this story, Ramzahurin will be the cartoonist, while Jaafar Taib will help me ‘polish’ every panel. Although I won’t be drawing it, Jaafar taib said that I better concentrate on the storyline aspect and leave the drawing to Ramzahurin.
And furthermore, Jaafar Taib wants it to be publish in Gila-Gila A.S.A.P or specifically the November issue. WTH!!! Im so excited! If this story make it to animation, then 1 of my dreams in life will be fulfilled! Now what should I do to kill this excitement in me. I need to finish my ‘Diari Ain’ project ASAP too.
Btw the images above are some sketches to prepare before meeting Ramzahurin around tomorrow. Wish me luck
Buka puasa with the whole family is a blessing. Last Thursday, my family had a chance to ‘Buka Puasa’ at a hotel in Shah Alam. Well, in the current economy state, I think a hotel is a bit overkill but my dad says: “in the end it’s worth it right?” yeap! seeing everyone eating happily, making fun of each other and stuffing their stomach full is a view to enjoy. Plus our honorary guest (our beloved Hadif, a latest addition in the family) is making a huge entrance, making life much more lively. Here’s all of the pics. Btw only my eldest brother couldn’t make it. Which is sad… Here’s all the pics!

Interviewer: Ok let’s start by introducing yourself
Me: I’m Syakhir, known as Tenuk and K’. Working right now with CESB.
Interviewer: I see that you are still at the office at this time(1.00 am), too much work?
Me: Hmm.. Raya break is next month so I gotta do some works prior to the break. Coz.. U know… Even Raya break the magazine must go on.
Interviewer: Sorry to hear that. Good luck in your work. Next question, do you believe in ghost?
Me: Yep!
Interviewer: ……………
Me: …. What? Do I need to explain the details?
Interviewer: Care to explain? (Whisper: must you wait for me to ask?)
Me: Ok.. My ancestors as my parents told me, is actually a ‘bomoh’ before. So some of my family members have this ’sensitiviy’ towards ‘creepy’ related stuff. My little brother being the most sensitive. I saw a few stuff and heard a few noises. By the way I heard your whisper.
Interviewer: Like to share a story of one of those… encounters?
Me: There is this one time I went to Penang to meet my friends uncle. Stayed there a night. And during the night, while everyone else is asleep, I feel like my arms(that is hanging from the bed) is being licked by something. Im too lazy to get up and look so I just try to feel whether Its really somebody’s licking or just some insect or critters messing around. And… yep Its a lick. And then I wake up, try to check what the hell happened. My arms is dry and nothing is different, so I went back to sleep. The next day, during breakfast I ask aunt and uncle “Bilik tu keras ke?” They shocked and answers ” Macam mana ko tau?” hooooooo
Interviewer: That must’ve been scary. Do you have goosebumps on that night?
Me: Goosebumps and ‘meremang’ only comes when a bad, bad ghost is nearby. You see, when a ‘VERY’ bad one comes. The crickets, frogs and winds will stop. You will get goosebumps, and the silent from lack of background noise will make your hearing feels weird. I met one of those at SEMESTI.
Interviewer: So you’re saying there’s good ghost and bad ones?
Me: Yup. The good ones only wants to have some fun and fool around with you. The bad ones…. wanna mess you up. (They will make you sick)
Interviewer: You seems to be okay with all this, you are alone at the office right now you know?
Me: Wait! Im alone? Then who are you? Hey! Wha.. Nooo!!!
p/s: Actually some of “them” is “fooling around” with me just now so I’m pissed. And here’s a post dedicated to you! Happy now???!!
